We are a group of young professionals from the Roanoke Valley devoted to the future of Center in the Square. Our members are culturally interested, active professionals who support the Center through fundraising and volunteer activities.

Since our founding in 1996, we've raised tens of thousands of dollars in unrestricted funds for Center in the Square through a variety of events. We're proud of the difference we make and we feel you'll have a hard time finding a group that has a better time doing good deeds than The Square Society. We are a young, fun, diverse and energetic group who are united only in our unconditional support of cultural arts, sciences and economic development.

What is the mission of the Square Society?

• To raise funds for Center in the Square that can be used freely to meet Center's needs
• To increase awareness of the goals and objectives of Center in the Square's member organizations among young professionals
• To build a foundation for future Center support
• To provide more awareness to our members as well as the community of all Center in the Square has to offer

Center in the Square

Center in the Square is a non-profit organization providing rent-free space, utilities, security, marketing, custodial and some administrative services to its seven beneficiary organizations. With its pivotal location on the historic Downtown Roanoke Market, Center is more than a just a home for the arts, it is a beacon attracting regional and national attention from corporate executives and casual travelers alike. The groups that call Center in the Square home are:
